On November 1st 2025 at The Garret Loft in Calgary, Nuola Events once again welcomed an intimate group of culture lovers to the second installment of our Spice Dinner Series, this time honouring coconut. Chef Sophia of Iranti brought her culinary artistry to the table, reimagining coconut through West African flavours in ways that surprised and delighted with every course. Guests were swept up not just by the meals in front of them, including one course plated inside a fresh coconut, but by the personal stories behind each creation, all while thoughtfully paired beverages carried them from one course to the next.
Coconut took center stage visually too, with installations that were soft yet striking — real coconuts woven throughout the space alongside tall, sweeping palm leaf arrangements that transformed the room into something you could almost feel the breeze in. Every detail, down to the stationery and place settings, was considered and cohesive. DJ Jade rounded out the evening with a sound that matched the mood perfectly.
As always the vibes were immaculate, and guests were given the exclusive news of a Caribbean chef for the next installment.
