On a crisp fall evening in Downtown Calgary, an intimate group of culture enthusiasts joined us for our inaugural Spice Dinner Series highlighting our hero ingredient: plantain. Chef FT and Chef Sophia of Lamuren Inc and Iranti respectively tantalised our tastebuds with culinary masterpieces celebrating plantain in contemporary takes rooted in Nigerian flavours. From the very first bite our guests were delighted and amazed by the masterpieces and the stories that inspired the chef’s creations, with expertly paired beverages to refresh palates between courses.
Plantain was also visually featured at our event with sculptural floral and produce installations bringing our design to full life. No detail was spared, from the stationery to the place settings everything was vibrantly coloured to bring our guests into our lush rainforest with full fruit trees and shrubs. The ambience was completed by the softest life playlist expertly curated by DJ Jade.
The vibes were bougie and immaculate, and everyone left eager for the next installment.
